With a higher priority being placed on nutritional awareness and Ofsted inspecting efforts to improve children’s nutrition, this is the perfect time for schools to join The Grub Club to support their students to be healthy and thrive. Incorporating parental engagement, nutritional awareness and cooking skills in a programme that is independent of staff involvement, The Grub Club provides the best opportunity to to improve young people’s potential through nutrition.

Run over six weeks by trained professionals, our onsite cooking programmes focus on the importance of a nutritionally balanced diet, practical demonstrations and hands-on learning in a fun and engaging workshop.

Families are the key ingredient for change, so we want to make sure it’s easy for them to take part and stay connected with their child’s school and community, that’s why we hold our workshops on school premises or at their local community centre.

“No one can deny the exceptional work of teachers across the country, but where challenges persist, we cannot expect teachers to handle these alone. It is really exciting that Teach First has the chance to work with Grub Club to build on its solution of teaching families the chance to learn more about healthy and affordable eating."
